Description

Chamomile Blue grows throughout Europe and grows wild in the countryside of Britain. There are three types of Chamomile which are used in Aromatherapy.  All have small daisy like flowers the oil is obtained through steam distillation of the flowering heads.

In Europe Chamomile was grown in the Monasteries and in domestic herb gardens for its medicinal properties. Chamomile was used by the army and navy as a natural antiseptic: more powerful than seawater.

Is used mainly for all skin conditions, it contains azulene which gives it its strong blue colour.

This is excellent for healing.

One of the safest oils – it’s very rare for anyone to have an allergic reaction and has been used throughout history.

Properties Antiseptic:

Anti-inflammatory, low toxicity, anti-allergic, sedative, carminative, tonic and digestive, diuretic.

Used to Treat

Skin: Eczema, boils, dermatitis, chapped and dry skin, inflammation and wounds.

Aches & pains, muscular, headaches, arthritis, rheumatism, and earache.

Hair – in hair rinses for healthy and shiny hair, relieving itchy scalps, lightening blonde hair.

 

Emotional 

For insomnia, anxiety and depression.  Hysteria and in fretful children.

The House

Pets – for earache, rheumatism, skin complaints and hoof rot in horses!

This oil should be avoided in pregnancy as it has diuretic qualities. Also available in 5ml.
