Lemongrass , Cymbopogon citratus is a genus of Asian, African, Australian, and tropical island plants in the grass family. Some species are specially cultivated as culinary and medicinal herbs.

The scent which is reminiscent of Lemons adds to the desirability, making Lemongrass production widespread.
